In 1954, a group of visionary REALTORS®, with a goal to serving the buying and selling public more effectively, founded The Oakville, Trafalgar Real Estate Board, as it was then known. Over the last 50 years the Board has seen many changes since its inception. Beginning with the Photo Co-Op Listing System, a revolutionary tool created to market property to the public through the cooperative effort of all Realtor members, the industry and the Board continued to evolve, creating the most effective marketing tool available today, the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®). By 2004, advances in technology and computer systems have allowed REALTORS® to utilize tools such as interior photography, virtual tours and, of course, the Internet. Coupled with a variety of networking opportunities with other Real Estate Boards, the 1100 plus members of The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board are able to offer today's sellers and buyers, access to Real Estate Markets across the country and throughout the world!

Although times have changed and technology has advanced, the Members of The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board remain dedicated to providing the best service possible to buyers and sellers by staying at the forefront of all that technology has to offer.

"The voice of REALTORS® in Halton" isn't just a slogan. It's the ongoing commitment OMDREB has made to inform the public on the vital role REALTORS® play in the Real Estate transaction and provide the resouces necessary to bring REALTORS® and their clients together. We are also committed to creating opportunities for our REALTOR® members to give back to the communities they are fortunate enough to serve.
