OMDREB's Seminar Policies Regarding Credits & Refunds
The Education Committee is continuing to offer seminars that will assist Members to meet the new RECO continuing education requirements. We are doing our best to keep the registration fees as reasonable as possible.
The registration fee charged is based on a combination of factors -- the speaker’s fee, the cost of the course manuals and an administrative fee, just to name a few. In order to cover our costs, a minimum number of participants is required. If this minimum number of registrations is not received one week prior to the scheduled date, the course is cancelled.
If you have registered and wish to cancel, a refund of the registration fee will be made up until a week before the course date. Once the Board has confirmed that the course will proceed, no further refunds can be issued. The cancellation policy is printed on each seminar notice, along with the refund deadline.
With regard to the allocation of Continuing Education (CE) Credits, we have been provided with the following instructions from RECO:
To receive credit for a continuing education course/seminar, participants must be in attendance when the course/seminar begins and must be in attendance for the duration of the course/seminar. There are no partial credits.
Therefore, if you arrive late or leave early, we will be unable to issue a course/seminar credit.
